When marketing on the internet, sometimes you feel like your head is going to explode! The amount of tools, systems, and services out there will make your head spin which make promises of easy riches when you use them.
Every day, there seems to be another “magic tool” that pops up promising millions of visitors to your site and large sums of money in your bank account….effortlessly.
It can get overwhelming and take focus away from what you should be doing to build your business.
As you know, there are tools out there that not only make your life easier, but keep your business running on auto-pilot for you.
The trick is to know which ones to focus on and which ones to stay away from!
Let’s go through the essentials which every top internet marketer depends on a daily basis to run their million dollar businesses…
1) Web Hosting
Obviously, without hosting, the internet would be a pretty boring place to hang out. If you have a domain name, you need a place to host it so others can find you.
Hosting companies out there range from free all the way to over $500 a month for dedicated hosting.
The key is to find a company that provides 99% up-time and also provides 24/7 support in case you ever have a problem.
And of course, just like anything, you get what you pay for.
Have you heard the phrase, “The Money Is In The List?”
Well, having an auto-responder and building a list that knows, likes, and trusts you is the fastest way to literally pushing a button and having money coming in your bank account… faster than you can say… Hot Biscuits!
The formula is simple.
Create a page that gives something of huge value totally away for free. This could be a free report, a video lesson, an audio interview, or a live webinar.
Then, in exchange for your free information, the visitor will give you their name and email address.
And then the magic happens. You can follow up with them automatically and offer more value and even get them to buy something!
This is all done using an auto-responder, all automatically and efficiently for you.
Again, companies providing auto-responders range from $20 a month up to $99 a month.
3) Video Hosting
The internet is all about video. And without some type of video on your website, most people will simply not hang around.
Video allows you to bond with your visitor and create more trust than with just words on your site.
We’ve all heard of YouTube for sure. But is a free service that is known for pranks, jokes, and music videos the right image for your business?
There’s a reason the top marketers host their videos through paid services and you should to.
4) Website Builder and Prospecting System
99% of internet marketers don’t have the time and/or the skills to create their own websites or prospecting pages. Trying to learn website design and html code is not the best way to spend your time.
That’s where website builders come in. You simply customize your pages with your own video, product info, auto-responder, and you’re done!
5) Live Webcasts
The most powerful way to sell is face to face. You get instant feedback and customers can ask questions and get their answers immediately.
Since we don’t want to meet all our visitors in person… Webcasts are the next best thing.
We can sit in the comfort of our own homes and present to people all over the world. Product demonstrations, video overviews, live questions and answers, it’s all possible with Webcasts.
If you’re not using Webcasts in your business, you are missing out on thousands of dollars of sales.
Typical companies charge between $49 to $99 a month and more.
The Top 5 Essential Tools
These are the top five tools that every top marketer uses and depends on a daily basis to make sales on auto-pilot.
And you can too.
Now, you can get all these great tools from different companies and pay between $150 to over $350 each and every month.
Or, you can make the smart decision and get them all from one company and save a huge amount of money.
GVO offers all these tools under one roof and for only $1.45 a day. That’s less than a Starbucks coffee!
And the best part is, for a limited time, you can take advantage of all these amazing tools and profit with them for a full 14 days for only a $1.
Don’t decide now, use all the tools and see how powerful they are and how they will help explode your business online right now.
We can all use free stuff. How about a free vacation? Well, have not found that as yet. But for now let’s talk about Freeware, software available to use without purchase. I have previously listed a few I use on a regular basis. They never give me a problem, especially if I have to reinstall. YEAH. More about that later.
Today I have a three websites to share with you that offer Freeware, Shareware, and paid software options. The favorite are trial software with a purchase offer later. Some are only 14 days, others 30 days. No matter it gives you and I the opportunity to try the software out before purchasing. This is especially helpful if you experience problems, getting in touch with tech support for any software is mega important. There are some Freeware that do not offer tech support, you are sort of on your own. What I mean is some do offer a forum where you will find support from other users.
New sites I recently discovered and still research are as follows:
This is an archive of software you can get for free. The list includes games, photo software, productivity software, video and audio converters as well as player. There is a list of Blackberry applications that could take up this whole page, go see for yourself. The list is extensive as is the software available for download.
Here is another website filled with the latest and older software available to you both free and purchase. However, there are trial periods available offering you a chance to play before you pay. The alpha list begins with audio and video, business, communications, developer tools, plus many categories. Go check it out for yourself, I am still exploring.
This one is my old favorite.
Are you searching for a place to host your newly developed, open source software? SourceForge.net is the place to be noticed. Plus you can download almost any software program equivalent to the pay for software. You will find software to help you develop more software, patches and add ons to Windows operating system, hardware drivers, and so much more.
If you have a website you would like to share that offers free software I will be happy to share it with my readers. Please contact me and send me the information. Thank you.

An exercise I received in a team building workshop, wanted to share once again even though it is about 20 years old, still a valid note to read.
Also note how despite the x for the e you can still read the note clearly. Training? Years of subtle training!
There is a world of free software available immediately for download. Or if you would rather have it on disk you can pay a small fee and it will be shipped to you. Software you pay for can be very expensive and it is also available as a download or a disk copy may be purchased. Purchasing software means replacing the software or paying for upgrades every time it is outdated, that happens about every 6 months to a year for most programs. This translates to thousands of dollars in some cases.
Purchased software has licensing restrictions, which means you cannot install it on more than one computer without purchasing another license. In some cases you cannot reinstall it without purchasing another license. Technical service is not always free and in some cases difficult to get. Guarantees are limited, technical assistance is limited, and if you download the software from the site in some cases you lose if your computer crashes. You will have to buy the software again.
Free software has its style of licensing agreements, sometimes limited technical assistance as well, but the programmer is your tech support unless a forum is developed where others can lend a hand. Free software is down-loadable and shareable with all of your computers, your friends computers, and anyone else interested in using the software. The only restrictions is that you do not modify the code and you give credit to the creator, plus a donation is always accepted. Free software is as efficient and more so than most paid versions.
Here is a short list of some of my favorites. To download the software click the name. The links open in a new window or tab depending on your browser set up.
Paint.net is like having three programs, maybe more in one. If you have ever used Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, or any photo editing software, you are going to love this program. It is easy to find your way around the tools and you can add layers, create photos for print, the web, or??? There is no real limit to what you can do. Want to make a flier for print, then use Paint.net. Works well with Windows XP, Vista, and 7 as well as other operating systems.

It is compatible Windows XP, Vista, 2008, and 7. You can burn and create ISO’s, rather than a boot disc on a floppy, use the CD. There is also a multilanguage capability. The list is not done. I am seeking more free software to help you build your business. You can save the footwork, keep this page bookmarked to return or subscribe through the RSS.

Are you still a brick and mortar business owner who doesn’t have any kind of online presence? Then this post is for you. In case you are an experienced internet marketer then please don’t read further as this post is mainly for the business owners who are still new to the online world.
What follows next are the few basic tips which will help you in building online presence for your small business.
Get a website and blog –Okay. This is the basic one so I won’t spend more time on this point. The only tip which I will like to share is to hire a professional web designer who can design an elegant and beautiful website for your business. Since the visual appearance of your website may influence the decision of your potential customers, it is very important to have a decent and easy-to-use website.
Join social media websites – Social media websites enjoyed a tremendous growth in 2009 and will continue to grow in 2010. According to a study about the impact of social media websites on consumer behavior, more than 50 percent of online consumer takes their decision on the basis of information they get from these social media websites. Create a profile on all social media websites and communities where your target audience spends their time and try to develop your relations with them. More is the number of social media websites you join; the easier it will be for your consumers to find you.
Get listed in popular business directories – Get yourself listed in local business directories like Google local business results, Yahoo local business listings. Also search for the other local business organizations websites or directories which are related to your niche and get your self listed in them.
Distribute few Press releases – Once you’ve launched the website and get yourself listed in free business directories. Write some press releases about the launch of your new website and submit them to free press releases sites. If you have any contacts in local newspapers agency then use them and see if they can help you in getting some exposure.
Add some useful content on your website – Write six-seven unique and useful articles about your industry and publish them on your own website. Send those article links to the bloggers who write about your niche, your friends, current clients, family and request them to promote them. Also you can submit those articles to few of the popular social bookmarking sites like Digg, Delicious, Mixx where it can attract some traffic.
Set Google Alerts – Go to google.com/alerts and set alerts for your company name and keywords related to your niche. Google will send you an email notification every time someone mentions your company name or the keywords you have set in your Google alerts account. Monitor all the conversations related to you and participate wherever required.
These are the six easy tips which according to me every business owner should follow for building a basic online presence for their small business. Do you have some additional tips then feel free to share them in the comments.
